Trafalgar Square =/= Tahrir Square


This was inspired by an article I read the other day, about how some people involved in the anti-cuts protests tomorrow are hoping to turn Trafalgar Square into Tahrir Square.

As much as I support most of the protests that will be happening tomorrow (I really wish the anarchists would fuck off, tbh), could people please stop comparing them to the ongoing protests in the Middle East? Cuts to services and job loses that have happened in the past year isn't really the same as living under a brutal dictatorship for several decades.

Also, this BBC article about how religion could become "extinct" in several countries is pretty interesting. One of the countries which is claimed to be religion-free in the future is...Ireland!
